On the morning of travel, bring your ticket to your local rail station and board your train heading towards Holyhead.

At Holyhead, the ferry terminal for Irish Ferries is inside the station at the end of platform 2. Walk straight off the train into the ferry terminal and check in for the ferry at the relevant ferry operator desk. There's a 30 minute check-in for Irish Ferries.

The Irish Ferries ship berths a short journey from the terminal building at Holyhead. So, after check in passengers are shuttled to the ferry by bus. There is no fee for this shuttle to the ship.

The Irish Ferries ship Ulysses sails from Holyhead at 14:10, arriving Dublin Ferryport at 17:25.

Step 3: Meet your Railtours Ireland First Class tour host at Dublin Ferry Port for your transfer to your Dublin Hotel

Our Railtours Ireland host will be awaiting your arrival, wearing their bright yellow jacket so that they are easily identifiable. Once you meet your tour host after disembarking, you will be transferred to your hotel for your first evening in Dublin city centre.

You will receive your travel pack with your itinerary for the Irish leg of your journey. Our tour host will furnish you with your travel pack which includes the check-in details for your Irish rail tour.

Please note that there is no transfer from your hotel to the train station for your rail tour through Ireland on the first morning of departure. Please make your way to the departure station for the appropriate check-in time as listed on your itinerary.
