To celebrate the completion of the Great Western Greenway in County Mayo on Ireland’s stunning West Coast, Railtours Ireland is delighted to offer the ultimate eco-friendly short break from Dublin!
The Greenway is the conversion of the magnificently scenic railway line from Westport County Mayo to Achill Sound (closed in 1937) to a cycling / walking trail – 27 miles or 45 kilometres of superb coas
tal scenery.
Your accommodation is at the luxury four-star Mulranny Park Hotel (including Full Irish Breakfast each day) overlooking island studded Clew Bay, where former Beattle John Lennon one stayed with Yoko Ono before buying one of the islands!

ITINERARY
Day One:
Depart London Euston Station 09.10hrs, Then train to Holyhead Port and Cruise Ferry to Dublin arrival 17.25, then overnight in Dublin (See London Package Page)
Day 2:
Check in Dublin Heuston Station (Customer Service
Check in Dublin Heuston station for 7.30am departure of Intercity train to Wesport, arriving at 11.00am. Transfer to Mulranny. Afternoon free.
Day 3:
Cycle hire day. Explore the Greenway and its spectacular scenery.
DAY 4
Mid morning transfer Mulranny to Westport.
Two return options:
- 13.50 train departure arriving to Dublin Heuston at 16.50
- 17.45 train departure arriving to Dublin Heuston at 21.20 (including time to explore Wesport)
Last day:
7.00am taxi transfer from your hotel to Dublin Ferry port for 08:05 cruise ferry departure to Holyhead and train to London Euston arriving 16:38.
The Great Western cycle break includes:
- Return rail travel to Westport
- Transfers to/from Mulranny Park Hotel
- Two nights accommodation in four star Mulranny Park hotel with full Irish breakfast
